Elected October 2009 (Washington Gas and WGL Holdings)
Terry D. McCallister, age 60, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WGL Holdings and of Washington Gas Light Company, positions he has held since October 1, 2009. Mr. McCallister previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of WGL Holdings and Washington Gas Light Company (2001-2009); Mr. McCallister joined Washington Gas Light Company in April 2000 as Vice President of Operations. He was previously with Southern Natural Gas, where he served as Vice President and Director of Operations and with Atlantic Richfield Company, where he held various leadership positions. Mr. McCallister serves on the Board of Directors of the American Gas Association and has been elected Chairman for 2015. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southern Gas Association and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gas Technology Institute. Mr. McCallister serves on the National Petroleum Council. He also serves on the boards of several business and community organizations, including, among others, the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Federal City Council, the Alliance to Save Energy, the Smithsonian National Zoo, the National Symphony Orchestra (President) and the INOVA Health System Foundation (Chairman).
Mr. McCallister has a B.S. degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Executive Program.
