WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WGL Holdings, Inc. (WGL) recently earned the Parity Award, special recognition from the Women's Forum of New York, for accelerating gender parity in the boardroom with 44 percent of its Board of Director seats held by women. During the Breakfast of Corporate Champions, a biennial program, WGL accepted the honor for demonstrating gender balance in the boardroom as a strategic business imperative and for serving as an inspiration for other companies to drive positive change. During the Breakfast of Corporate Champions, WGL accepted the Parity Award by the Women's Forum of New York for accelerating gender parity in the boardroom with 44 percent of its Board of Director seats held by women. This year, the Women's Forum of New York recognized only 43 companies out of the Fortune 1000 and S&P 500 companies that reached this threshold of approaching gender equality, ranking WGL among less than 5 percent of companies regarded as game changers for women on boards.
